Michael Daley (Baseball/Softball): Coach Daley played baseball at Burncoat High School and finished his playing days at Assumption College in Worcester. He was a member on the 1993 Assumption team which was nationally ranked 24 in Division II. Coach Daley first coached at West Boylston Legion Post 204 from 1998-2000. In 2000, the team finished 24-9 and lost in the state final game. In 2000 he joined the Worcester Heat AAU coaching staff where he still remains today. As a Heat coach, Coach Daley’s teams have won the Cape Cod Triple Crown championship (2005), the Desert Open championship in Mesquite, Nevada (2008), and finished runner-up in the National AAU Championships Classic Division in 2005. In 2002, coach Daley joined the Wachusett Regional High School coaching staff as the team’s hitting coach. The program went from 7 wins his first year to 15 wins within 3 years. Mike had stops at Quabbin Regional High School (head varsity coach) in 2005 and assisted at Doherty Memorial High School (2006). In 2006, Doherty upset Wachusett Regional in the first round of the district playoffs and achieved their first playoff win in nearly a decade. The following year, Coach Daley took the head varsity coaching job at Oxford High School. In only his second year, coach Daley’s Oxford team went 18-6, won the SWCL League and was a Division II Central Mass. Finalist. Mike was an assistant coach in the Bay State Games in 2007. He has been steadily giving hitting and pitching instruction since 1998. Many of his clients have gone on to play at high levels of baseball both collegiate and professionally.
Phil Price (Baseball): Coach Price attended Quabbin Regional High School. In 1998, as captain of the baseball team; he helped lead them to their first district appearance in 10 years. He went on to play baseball for Fisher College in Boston Massachusetts while attending Massachusetts College of Art. From 2003 - 2005, he served has the middle school and JV coach at Quabbin Regional High School. He then, moved and served as hitting coach for Oxford High whom were the 2008 SWCL League Champions and a Division II Central Mass. District Finalist that year. Currently, Price in the General Manager as well as a coach for the Worcester Heat Travel Baseball Club. With the Heat, Coach Price has won the 13U New England AAU Super Division Championship in 2007 as an assistant coach. In 2008 the same team was the 14U New England AAU Super Division Finalist. Price also served as hitting coach to the 2008 Heat team that won the Desert Open Championship in Mesquite, Nevada - which earned the team a berth to the 2008 Triple Crown World Series. In 2009 Coach Price took the 13U Worcester Heat team and won the 2009 Cape Cod Wood Bat Championship, was a finalist in the Triple Crown Summer Slug fest in the 14U division, won the 2009 Labor Day Bash in Warwick RI and finished 12th in the country out of 58 teams in the 2009 Triple Crown Summer Nationals. In 2010, he remained with the same group as the 14U Heat coach and the team went on to boast a 58-12 record, winning the 2010 NE AAU Spring Classic, 2010 Cape Cod Wood Bat Championship, was the 2010 NEBA League Champs, 2010 NEBA League Playoff Champs, 2010 Sports at the Beach (in Delaware) Champs and finished 3rd in the 2010 Memorial Day Classic at Baseball Heaven and the 2010 Blue Chip Prospect Tournament in Long Island NY. Coach Price will be coaching the 15U Worcester Heat Travel Baseball team in 2011 and continues to serve as hitting instructor as well as Operations Manager for Hit Quarters. Daryle Corriveau (Baseball): Daryle Corriveau graduated from Wachusett Regional HS ('89) where he posted a career ERA under 2.00 while compiling over twenty wins. He was named a Mid-Wach All Star, Telegram and Gazette All Star and team MVP in both his Junior and Senior years. He played American Legion baseball for East Side Post #201 and named MVP while leading the league in wins and ERA. Daryle received a scholarship to Division I UMASS-Amherst where he earned a spot in the starting rotation as a freshman. He pitched in a televised game against South Florida and also saw action against the University of Florida. His Atlantic 10 starts included West Virginia, Temple and Rutgers. He also posted 13 and 15 strikeout performances against non-conference opponents Holy Cross and Boston University. Coach Corriveau finished his collegiate career at Westfield State where he was named an Academic All-American and a MASCAC All Star. He is also a member of the Worcester Area Baseball Umpires Association and is an MIAA and District tournament umpire. Mike Kleminech (Baseball): Mike Kleminich has been a personal instructor for the past fifteen-years. Mike is a member of the Massachusetts Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame and the Shrewsbury High School Hall of Fame. Mike had a successful career as a coach at Shrewsbury High School from 1955-1972 and with the Shrewsbury American Legion from 1972-1988. Additionally, Mike served as Shrewsbury High School's Athletic Director from 1968-1988.
Caitlin Belanger (Softball): Caitlin Belanger attended BMC Durfee High School where she was the team captian and MVP from 2004-2007. She was also Rookie of the Year in 2004 (same year she was MVP and won the State Championship). She was also a Big 3 All-Star from 2004-2007, Boston Herald All-Scholastic from 2004-2007. She left a .453 career batting average at BMC Durfee when she graduated. She then went on to play for Holy Cross and has since graduated in 2011. Caitlin has recently returned from Germany where she played professionally overseas. During her Holy Cross career, Caitlin has been selected to the All-Patriot League team, Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, she received Patriot League Player of the Week and ECAC Player of the Week honors in 2010 after going 8/14, 6 RBI and 4 stolen bases from April 19-25, 2010 (a week where she hit a grand slam vs Lafayette). Caitlin has led the Crusaders in hits, ranked third in batting average during the 2010 season, had 16 multi-hit games, accumulated 27 stolen bases in a single season and led the team with 19 starts as a pitcher. In her final season (2011), Caitlin led all starters with a .373 batting average and started in a team-high 16 games from the circle. She also scored a team-high and school record 40 runs and had 59 hits, leading the team and setting a new school record in that category as well. She was named to the second team All-Patriot League for the second straight season. She finished her career fifth all-time at Holy Cross with 81 runs scored, tied for fifth with 25 doubles, first with 55 stolen bases and second with 53 walks. As a pitcher, Caitlin is tied for sixth all-time with 48 starts, tied for fifth with 24 complete games and fifth with 17 career wins. Tom Baker (Director of Lacrosse Performance Training and Functional Athletic Training): A native of Long Island, NY, Tom played lacrosse and football for two years at Baltimore Junior College. While playing for Baltimore JC from 1971 to 1973 he was awarded first team All American (for lacrosse, defense), All-JUCO, All-Region and was selected captain of the NJCAA 1973 South All-Star Team. In 1973 he received a full scholarship for football to the University of Pittsburgh where he played to 1975. Tom started coaching in 2000, he became the head coach at Eden Prairie High School, Minnesota (reaching the State Semi Finals in his first year 13-1) and named 2002 US Lacrosse "Man of the Year" Minnesota. Since moving to Massachusetts Tom has been the lacrosse head coach at Shrewsbury High School from 2003-2004 and is currently an assistant coach at Assumption College men’s lacrosse team. Tom was named 2004 US Lacrosse "Man of the Year" and 2007 Assistant Coach of the Year for Central Massachusetts. He also coached the 2005 Bay State Central team and was an assistant coach for Team Central (an Elite Team of High School players). Tom is also the Functional Training Coach here at Hit Quarters and is currently IAFS Certified Functional Trainer. |
