Michael Daley:
Coach Daley played baseball at Burncoat High School and finished his playing days at Assumption College in Worcester. He was a member on the 1993 Assumption team which was nationally ranked 24 in Division II. Coach Daley first coached at West Boylston Legion Post 204 from 1998-2000. In 2000, the team finished 24-9 and lost in the state final game. In 2000 he joined the Worcester Heat AAU coaching staff where is still remains today. As a Heat coach, Coach Daley’s teams have won the Cape Cod Triple Crown championship (2005), the Desert Open championship in Mesquite, Nevada (2008), and finished runner-up in the National AAU Championships Classic Division in 2005. In 2002, coach Daley joined the Wachusett Regional High School coaching staff as the team’s hitting coach. The program went from 7 wins his first year to 15 wins within 3 years. Mike had stops at Quabbin Regional High School (head varsity coach) in 2005 and assisted at Doherty Memorial High School (2006). In 2006, Doherty upset Wachusett Regional in the first round of the district playoffs and achieved their first playoff win in nearly a decade. The following year, Coach Daley took the head varsity coaching job at Oxford High School. In only his second year, coach Daley’s Oxford team went 18-6, won the SWCL League and was a Division II Central Mass. Finalist. Mike was an assistant coach in the Bay State Games in 2007. He has been steadily giving hitting and pitching instruction since 1998. Many of his clients have gone on to play at high levels of baseball both collegiate and professionally. Phil Price:
Coach Price attended Quabbin Regional High School. In 1998, as Senior Captain; he helped lead the team to their first district appearance in 10 years. He played 2 years of baseball at Fisher College in Boston Massachusetts while attending Massachusetts College of Art. He served as the head Middle School and Junior Varisty coach at Quabbin Regional High School after college for 5 years. Coach Price was also the Hitting Coach for the Varsity Baseball team at Oxford High School where the team was the SWCL League Champions and a 2008 Division II Central Mass. District Finalist. He is also one of the coaches for the Worcester Heat AAU Travel Baseball Club. With the Heat, Coach Price has won the 13U New England AAU Super Division Championship in 2007 as an assistant coach. In 2008 the same team was the 14U New England AAU Super Division Finalist. Price also served as hitting coach to the 2008 Heat team that won the Desert Open Championship in Mesquite, Nevada - which earned the team a berth to the 2008 Triple Crown World Series. In 2009, Coach Price took his own 13U Worcester Heat team and won the 2009 Cape Cod Wood Bat Championship. The same team played up in the 14 year old division at the Triple Crown Summer Slug-fest in Warwick Rhode Island and took second place. Also in 2009 Coach Price's team competed in the Triple Crown Summer Nationals and finished 12th place overall out of 58 teams. Coach Price has been a Hitting Instructor at Hit Quarters since 2005 and has recently joined the staff full-time as the Operations Manager. Mike Kleminech:
Mike Kleminich has been a personal instructor for the past fifteen-years. Mike is a member of the Massachusetts Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame and the Shrewsbury High School Hall of Fame. Mike had a successful career as a coach at Shrewsbury High School from 1955-1972 and with the Shrewsbury American Legion from 1972-1988. Additionally, Mike served as Shrewsbury High School's Athletic Director from 1968-1988. P.J. O’Connell:
Graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in 1998 with a degree in Sports Management. He played two years of college baseball at Nichols College. Upon graduation, he served as an Assistant Varsity Coach (Shrewsbury High School) for seven years. In that time he also served as the Shrewsbury American Legion Head Coach. He is currently a Guidance Counselor at Shrewsbury High School and their Head Varsity Baseball Coach. He has provided hitting and pitching instruction for the past twelve years at Baseball on Wheels, the Homerun Club, RBI and currently offers his knowledge as a hitting, pitching and fielding instructor at the Hit Quarters. Coach Plante played collegiately at Bates College (Lewiston, ME). He is currently the all-time leader for career relief appearances at Bates College and briefly served as an assistant there. He then coached several years at Worcester State College (Worcester, MA) before resigning as head coach to take an assistant coaching position at Princeton University (Princeton, NJ). Plante left Princeton to join the staff at Georgia College (Milledgeville, GA) where he served as pitching coach and recruiting co-coordinator. The 1995 Georgia College squad was ranked #2 in the nation and was a finalist in the NCAA Div II World Series. In 1996, coach Plante left Georgia College to assist at Brewton-Parker College (Mt. Vernon, GA). There, Plante was pitching coach and also worked with the hitters and infielders. The 1997 Brewton-Parker team went 64-7 en route to winning the NAIA National Championship. In recent years, Coach Plante was an assistant to Rich Gedman and the 2005 Worcester Tornadoes. He currently manages the Webster-Dudley Post #184 American Legion baseball team. Coach Plante currently serves as Hitting, Pitching and Fielding Instructor at Hit Quarters. Kristen Allain: A four year varsity softball starter and senior captain at perennially-strong Notre Dame Academy. During her time there, she was four-time Central Massachusetts Conference All-Star, a Worcester Telegram & Gazette Super Team All-Star and reached the state semifinals. She has played for the Polar Crush AAU summer team and finished in fourth place at the NSA World Series. She played 4 years of softball at Boston College and most recently played for the New England Riptide of the NPF (National Fast Pitch); a professional softball ball league. Coach Allain serves as a hitting and pitching instructor at the Hit Quarters. Michaella Mahoney: Played/ started 4 years at Shrewsbury High School and with a pitching record of 17-0 during the 2006 Mass. State Champion season, a league all-star all 4 years, and made the 2006 T&G superteam. She has played for several ASA/NSA/PONY softball organizations over a 10 year period. Played/started as a pitcher and first baseman at Saint Anselm College in 2007, and currently play/starts at Worcester State College and earned pitcher of the week and All-MASCAC team awards in 2009. Coach Mahoney will be offering her knowledge to instruct hitting, fielding and pitching on the Hit Quarters staff. |
