LACROSSE PERFORMANCE TRAINING PRESENTS OUR
2011 Fall Ball College "Train and Play"

Hit Quarters is hosting lacrosse “Train and Play” for players 18 years and up (including high school seniors) college players, former college players and adults at Hit Quarters indoor turf field, Register as a team or combine with other players to compete. All games or scrimmages will be 8 vs. 8 on our full field. We will also offer “Functional Training” which will be exclusively coached by Assumption College Assistant Lacrosse Coach and Strength and Conditioning Coach of Lacrosse Performance Training, Tom Baker, and his staff. Choose to just play, just train or both. Teams can work on shooting, dodging or playing defense ending with a scrimmage; great way to improve your game for spring. This program will be offered in the Fall and Winter.

If you choose to train with us we have all the equipment for functional workout. Functional Training for sports is your key to today’s most effective and efficient training! This approach focuses on training the body the way it will be used in competition and over-all athletic development, making it the most efficient and effective form of training today. Training functionally addresses correct movement, body positions, and all other abilities that are deemed essential for success in competition. Through a systematic functional sports training approach, you will improve your total athleticism, enhance your performance, reduce injuries through exercise progressions, and spur your development potential for specific movement patterns you commonly use in your choice of sport.

SESSIONS: Every Wednesday and Friday Evening
TIMES: 8:00PM to 9:30PM
DATES: Nov. 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18, (no play during Thanksgiving weekend), 30. Dec. 2,7, and 9
COSTS: $20.00 per session or $150.00 if you sign up for all 10 sessions.
What you will need: Full equipment, sneakers or molded cleats (no metal cleats) and water.

Lacrosse training is about more than “feeding the ball” and “shooting on the run.” It’s about gaining a thorough understanding of the game, preparing mentally and physically, for the challenges of high school play, and being the best you can be. At Lacrosse Performance Training, our lacrosse training program helps athletes develop their game and reap the benefits of a world class education, so they can experience success on and off the field.

Assumption College Assistant Coach Tom Baker will begin his 2011 Fall Ball Train and Play League For High School Athletes November 1st at Hit Quarters in Shrewsbury. Each session will start with an Functional Workout, a Pre-Game Warm Up segment led by Coach Baker with the help of College Coaches and current Assumption College players and then a transition to competitive full field game play.

PART ONE (30 Minutes):
Lacrosse Training – Without Weight Lifting (Functional Training)

Sticking with your own strength training routine? This program is designed as a supplement to any strength program with the goal of improving endurance, power, speed, and quickness, while incorporating sound regeneration and nutrition strategies into your plan. A seamlessly integrated program to improve your play on the lacrosse field. You’ll train with workouts for agility, flexibility, power, strength, speed and quickness, overall conditioning, and enhanced recovery.

Training Components: Prehab (injury prevention), Movement Prep (warm-up), Movement Skills, Plyometrics, Medicine Balls, Hurdles, Ladders, Resistance Bands, etc.

PART TWO (20 minutes): Pre-Game Warm Up

Our experienced staff of coaches will put each player through a pre-game warm up, which will include installing offense and defense concepts. Goalies will be warmed up and ready for play, preparing them for the task at hand.

Players Lacrosse Performance Training Program will be coached by college coaches, former players and current college players from around our area. All coaches have mastered their respective position on the field and have played at the highest level of competition - playing Division I, II, and III. We will be on the field watching the play and correcting mistakes as we go. Our goal is getting players the proper knowledge of the game so that can make good decisions while playing.

PART THREE (40 Minutes. 2 - 20 Minute Halves): Game Play

Each player will play between the hours of 10AM - 6 PM. Precise game schedules and times will not be released until the a week before the program starts (Nov. 6). This is because the times will depend on the number of registrations we get and placing players on the appropriate teams.
